Martin Puris may not be a household name, but his advertising creations have woven their way into our lives. As former head of the ad agency Ammirati, Puris, Lintas he came up with the long lasting slogan “BMW: The Ultimate Driving Machine” and many other lines that have become familiar entries in our cultural lexicon. Now he and his wife Mary are listing his 9 bed, 11 bath Hamptons retreat that includes a $4 million renovation and expansion. It hasn’t made its way to being publicly listed for sale, but the expected asking price is said to be around $10.995 million. Here are some early pictures that were provided to Forbes exclusively before it hits the market.
An inner living room with adjacent walkway lets in all the light, but feels like an inner sanctum inside the house.
The four million dollar renovation, included adding a bedroom wing and reclaimed wood floor planks that date to the 18th century.
The exterior walls blend in with the interior ones of the expansion.
Here’s one of the bedrooms, that keeps the wood beams in the ceiling to give it a farmhouse feel.
A look at the front shows it still has the clapboard exterior so common to homes in the Hamptons.
